Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Has a high school diploma or school equivalency diploma (GED)
- Has 18 credits hours of post-high school education in any behavioral health-related field
- At least four years of experience providing behavioral health services
Work Experience
- Has experience in supervising adults in a behavioral health agency
- Can identify medications generally prescribed to individuals with mental disorders
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in the services offered to individuals with behavioral health issues
- Possess skills, knowledge, and protection of resident’s right
Key Responsibilities
- Serve the residents in the facility, ensuring a supportive living environment, and advance the resident’s rights
- Assist during transportation outside the facility to receive therapeutic services
- Facilitate recreational and social activities for the residents in the facility
- Assist residents in their regimen following the facility’s self-administration medication procedures
- Assist residents as they receive care and services indicated in their treatment plan
